I had the chance to play the latest X50 from Korg. This is an entry level synth, but I was amazed with the quality of the sounds and the playabliity of this great synth. At only 9 lbs it really makes giging a pleasure.

The synth comes with 2 arpeggiators, and again the sound are top notch!

At $600 this seems to be a real bargain.  Wink

Hang on to your hat, dude.

Technology over the next 4-5 years (and probably beyond, of course) will explode in the digital musical instrument world.  With the exponential increases in computing power and new compact storage technologies that are coming up, just think of the possibilities . . . much more realistic sounds, soft synths (maybe incorporated within hardware controllers), etc.

The coolest part, though, is that it will continue to get cheaper, too!

Wish I was 40 years younger!  Grin

Regards,

I'm fine Stephen, playing but not recording, as I had to convert my music PC into a Trading PC!, markets have been volatile but at least I'm not losing money (touch wood) which is a good thing!
