Hey gang!

I was wondering if my DM-24 can be used with the FireWire card to be an audio interface for ProTools. I know the software can not play so nicely with others.

Thanks in advance!!

If you're using a mac do yourself a favour and go with Digital Performer Wink  I'm not sure if ProTools will work with it, I'm petty sure it's limited to their own interfaces.  I've been using DP for many years and it honestly out performs ProTools in so many ways it's not funny.

Hey Mark. Thanks for the reply. I'm not using a Mac, and neither is the guy inquiring about my DM24. From what I've found, it's probably a no-go. Stupid proprietary stuff. I guess when you're the market standard, you can do pretty much whatever you want, right? Oy...

According to the Tascam website the following have specific downloads to show you how to set them up:

1.DM-24 Application-Specific Documents: DM-24 as a Live Mixer (download)
- DM-24 with Alesis HD-24 (download)
- DM-24 with Digi 001 (download)
- DM-24 with MX2424 (download)
- DM-24 with Sonar (download)
- DM-24 with Cubase and Nuendo (download)
- DM-24 with Logic Tutorial (download)
- DM-24 with Pro Tools (download)
- DM-24 with Digital Performer (download)

Hey Mike. Yeah, I checked out those doc's, and they're for using the DM as a control surface. Unfortunately, my buddy is interested in the board for its I/O capacity (he would specifically use the Firewire expansion card).

Thanks for the info.!
