Who plays acoustic bass?  We need one.

Let's frame this out.

1.  Acoustic bass.
2.  Drums.  I'd kinda like to hear a live drummer on this with some brushes.  It's a tough piece to interpret tho...we'd need someone who's a little out there and understands how to use space.
3.  I could probably frame the piece out and drop a click track inplace of a drum track.  I'd need the original tracks back from Greg....or I can just use the version we have here as a template.  Then I could render the arrangement with keys, no pads and click only to add stuff to.  We could fill in the blanks from there.

Thoughts?

Mark,

It's been awhile, but I seem to recall shortening the intro when I laid the melody down. The original bass line from Greg was longer - let's wait for Greg to chime in.

I might could get Ted to mess with the drums.....maybe Maybe even Randy on Acoustic Bass.

I have the backing tracks(Stereo, Mixed) Tey sent me and the original tracks. I also have the version(s) martin sent me.

Let me know what "original" tracks you're talking about Tey Huh?

Can you send those tracks back to me?

I want to listen to that version and see what the difference was from the version KRoad has.

So... Is something happening?

On the off chance there is, I'm working outside of Germany next week and will not have the opportunity to check my mail. If any files are sent, including mp3's, please use "yousendit" or post 'em somewhere so I can download them. Once my email account is overloaded, I have Hell's own job trying to clear it - many layers to work through, each with convoluted codes and passwords.

Of course if it ain't happening... disregard this message.

I'm rebuilding the tune right now with a click track in place of the drum track.  When I complete the arrangement, I'll send it to you and Greg for comments and mods. Cool

Yes, this thing has TONS of potential..... but you need a drum track that is more than a metronome.

Re: the drums, ask yourself, "W.W.G.D?"

(what would Grusin do?)

Well, I didn't read all of the comments before I posted.....

I was going to ask if you would send me one with just a click no drums, and I wouldn't mind trying to program a tighter fitting drum track......
