hey i have the mc-808 and i got the controls down pack but i was wondering if anyone knew if i could download other instruments and put them on my mc-808. thanks.

I'll qualify my answer  by saying "I don't own one -- have never seen one -- don't know anyone who owns one".  Having said that, I did a little reading on it -- and my take is that I don't think you can download instruments, per se.  If you mean patches, I don't think so.

If you mean samples . . . absolutely it is a sampling groove box.  You can sample live via microphone or line inputs or you can load (download and load) .wav or .aiff files from a computer.  Those files can be samples of almost anything that produces sound (including instruments of course).
